As a follow up to my article, 10 Twitter Apps for Marketing Small Businesses, I want to share 10 more Twitter apps that small business owners can use to market their products and services, as well as build their brands. Twitter apps come and go everyday, and it seems like there is always a cool new Twitter app to try. It can be difficult to know which ones are worth your time. This list should get you started in the right direction.
1. GeoFollow
GeoFollow is a local Twitter directory that allows you to find other Twitter users in a specific area. If you want to connect with local consumers, this is a good place to find them!
2. TwitterLocal
TwitterLocal allows you to find tweets that include validated locations within them. It’s another great way to find people in your local area and find out what they’re talking about.
3. LocalTweeps
LocalTweeps allows you to search for Twitter users based on zip code, city or keyword. You can also post local events to LocalTweeps.
4. Twellow
Twellow promotes itself as the Twitter Yellow Pages where Twitter users (like you) can create their own listings.
5. WeFollow
WeFollow allows you to find Twitter users based on their interests. You can also list yourself using keywords and categories your customers are likely to be interested in, so other people can find you!
6. TweetScan
TweetScan allows you to enter keywords of your choice and get real-time updates, so you can see who is tweeting about topics of interest to you and what they’re saying.
7. TweetBeep
TweetBeep works similarly to Google Alerts. Just enter the keywords you want to track and you receive an emailed Twitter alert anytime those keywords are used in a tweet.
8. TwAnswers
TwAnswers allows you to ask and answer questions. Just publish your question, and other users will leave answers for you. Conversely, you can answer questions (particularly questions related to your business) posed by other users.
9. TweetGrid
TweetGrid provides a handy dashboard, which you can use to manage your Twitter searches.
10. TwitterFeed
TwitterFeed allows you to create a feed for your blog that automatically updates your Twitter profile (or Facebook profile) with your latest blog post in real-time.
